    American Trailer Rental Group goes live with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Sycor.Rental in just six months 

    The American Trailer Rental Group (ATRG), comprised of Meisler Trailer Rentals, First In Trailer Service (FITS), and Fleet Trailer Rentals, rents containers, trailers, and flatbeds to a wide range of industries. The company, with locations in Walton, KY, Evansville, IN, Memphis, TN, Louisville, KY, and Kansas City, KS, was looking to get a better overview of its multiple locations and more efficiently manage them from its head office in Walton. 

    From Excel & QuickBooks to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system

    The American Trailer Rental Group previously worked with Excel and QuickBooks, which became more difficult to manage as its business continued to expand. After receiving a recommendation from another company currently running on Sycor.Rental, ATRG decided to partner with Sycor to implement a more sophisticated system. On January 1, 2019 the project commenced to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Sycor.Rental. This would provide ATRG with an ERP system tailored to the needs of its rental operation.

    Ahead of schedule and under budget

    Thanks to the hard work of the teams on both sides, as well as the dedication of the key users, the project went live with all locations, including 23 users, on July 1, 2019, one month ahead of schedule. In part, this was also due to shortening the sprints and the CEO John Brooks’ wish to avoid customizations entirely. The project also finished 12% below the calculated budget.
