Where is the data stored and processed in Dynamics 365?

Microsoft operates a cloud infrastructure distributed across its own data centers worldwide with around 160 physical data centers, including of course in Europe and Germany. How is Microsoft Dynamics 365 provided?

You can choose between the Microsoft Cloud or the classic on-premise model (server-based installation) . Which version is better for your company depends on various factors.
Companies in which additional controls, more sensitive data and strict security and compliance guidelines are more important, as well as the corresponding IT resources and expertise, are more likely to choose an on-premise solution.

The majority of Dynamics 365 customers already rely on the cloud model. Among other things, this enables
