Personal profile

Thomas Ahlers holds a degree in engineering and has been familiar with management tasks in the IT world since the end of the 1990s.  His professional career included many years at SAP and management roles at the former Freudenberg IT, where he was Managing Director Consulting Services Europe and General Manager China. During this time, Ahlers worked from Shanghai for a total of seven years and developed a global perspective on digital transformation. Experience that he has already brought to bear in BITKOM roles as well as very recently in the context of the Ctrl.DIGITAL initiative. 

Thomas Ahlers has been active at Sycor since 2019 - first as Vice President SAP Business and finally, since November 2020, in the role of CEO.

In his private life, Ahlers lives in Hanover, is the father of a daughter, and a passionate endurance athlete.
