Doing good together - this was the motto of Sycor's 2017 Christmas campaign. And because this idea continues to be very important to the company, it is once again donating 10 euros per employee this year to three different organizations. The highlight is that the employees can give “their donation” to the organization whose purpose is closest to their hearts. At the end, Sycor will round the total up to make an overall donation of 10,000 euros.
The three organizations chosen by the Works Council have one thing in common: they are concerned with improving or maintaining health. These are the Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger (German Maritime Search and Rescue Association), the Allianz Chronischer Seltener Erkrankungen (Alliance for Chronic Rare Diseases), or ACHSE for short, and, last but not least, the Dachverband Clowns in Medizin und Pflege (Umbrella Organization Clowns in Medicine and Care).
The distribution of the total sum is really clever, as each of the three organizations should be taken into consideration and thus each receive 1.50 euros per employee. Each employee was then able to dedicate the remaining 5.50 euros to his favorite organization via a survey and the rest of the donations were distributed to the organizations on a percentage basis. The donation sum was then rounded up by Sycor to make a total of 10,000 euros. This resulted in the following amounts:
DGzRS (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger)
ACHSE (Allianz Chronischer Seltener Erkrankungen e.V.
Dachverband Clowns in Medizin und Pflege Deutschland e.V.
Sycor is pleased to be able to make a small contribution to helping people in special circumstances once again this year. The donations support the important work of the selected organizations and help to prevent shipwreck victims in the North and Baltic Seas from drowning, bring a smile to the faces of sick children, old people, and people with disabilities, and improve the situation for people with rare diseases in Germany. Because, for Sycor, "We give IT a face" means showing compassion and helping others.
