Sycor develops training concept and trains Signal Iduna employees in new customer service platform

Signal Iduna, one of the largest insurance groups in Germany, is introducing a new CRM based on the BSI Customer Suite in order to be able to respond to the requirements of modern customer service. Sycor is supporting the introduction as a training service provider.

The software is being introduced step by step in the various divisions of the insurer. One aim of the introduction was and is to provide software that is as uniform as possible for all lines of business. Nevertheless, the use of the software varies due to the different customer requirements, so that each line of business must be regarded as a separate target group for the training.

“We worked with the project managers to develop the appropriate training concepts for users of the software, which is called CRM4us at Signal Iduna,” says Nicolas Fiedel, Head of Training at Sycor and internal project manager. “Our aim was to ensure uninterrupted business at Signal Iduna by means of needs-based and target group-oriented training methods such as trainer-based training, e-learning and hypercare support.”

The implementation project has been underway since 2021. In the initial phase, Sycor successfully conducted training workshops and a pilot project in close coordination with Signal Iduna and the manufacturer BSI.

“It was and is important to us in this project that Sycor has always aligned the content and didactics of the concept with the requirements of different divisions and the operational circumstances. At the same time, Sycor adapted the training courses for external service providers who only cover partial tasks in the system,” says Andrea Klauberg, project manager at Signal Iduna. “Thanks to this good cooperation, we were able to react flexibly to the different requirements and situations.”

“In the current version of the training concept, Sycor employees receive two half-days of trainer-led training. The basics of the system before and more in-depth topics in the week after the rollout. Three e-learning courses supplement the training and must be completed in advance,” says Nicolas Fiedel. “Hypercare support from Sycor was ultimately replaced by on-site floorwalking, which Signal-Iduna carries out with its own employees.”

So far, over 600 employees from six divisions have undergone the training provided by Sycor over the course of the project.

    • "As the complete rollout of CRM4us at Signal Iduna will continue, we look forward to further cooperation with Sycor."
