As with every Microsoft D365 Finance & Supply Chain release, we published our Sycor.Rental Spring Release on March 14, 2025.
This release includes new features and improvements for our customers. The developments to extend the mobile app, particularly regarding the field service features, are extensive. We are pleased that some features originally planned for the Fall release 2025 have already been implemented this spring.
Here is a selection of features included in the Spring Release 2025:
In some of our customer projects, it was desirable for the rental invoice to include returned rental items on the same invoice if the rental end date (return date) falls in a future invoicing period (in the context of minimum rental periods; see Figure 1). To support this, a new rental parameter has been introduced: "Invoice returned items up to the rental end date", which allows this functionality to be enabled or disabled.

Microsoft has developed a new and very powerful module for the uniform administration of pricing. This can be activated via the function management. Similarly, we have adapted Sycor.Rental functions for standard sales so that the new module can be used. Due to low demand, we have not extended the pricing of rental transactions in Sycor.Rental for the time being. However, we have ensured that Sycor.Rental will continue to function and can be used as usual when the new module is activated.
You can find more information about Microsoft’s new module here:
We are continuing development on the mobile app within the Field Service module. A lot has happened "under the hood" once again:

There is now an information on the workshop order showing whether all required spare parts are already available, making it immediately clear whether the work (repair/maintenance) can begin.
Financial tags allow transactions to be analyzed based on keywords ("tags"). Until now, financial tags were not transferred from the sales order to the rental invoice. Thanks to enhancements in our SRT-projects (Sycor.Rental-projects), the use of financial tags is now also possible in the rental area.
A new feature allows the creation of appointment-specific or appointment-independent reminders, which are then displayed as a symbol/icon in the appointment area. The chosen visualization is intended to alert the user that an event is occurring, or, for example, a Task is due (see Figure 3).
