Sycor donates €5,000

November 16, 2020

2020 - this year is associated with special burdens and challenges for many people due to the corona pandemic. Those who are already suffering are often hard hit. Therefore, Sycor continues its annual Christmas fundraising campaign - again with the involvement of its employees. This year, the donations of 2,500 € each will go to Save the Children Deutschland e.V. and Pacific Garbage Screening e.V.

The employees decide where the money goes

As in previous years, in 2020 Sycor will again involve its employees in selecting organizations to which the funds will be donated. In this way, they were able to name institutions that they would like to support. Among the numerous nominations were many organizations that work to improve the lives of children around the world. On the other hand, the employees were keen to support environmental projects. Thus, the following organizations can look forward to receiving an amount of 2,500 € each this year:

Save the Children Deutschland e.V.

Save the Children has been active in humanitarian aid for children for more than 100 years and stands up for their rights worldwide. The association supports families wherever the commitment of governments and civil society is insufficient - often in the poorest regions of the world. There, the threats to children from conflicts, climate change and lack of supplies are particularly great. But the organization also helps in Germany, for example, when state structures are not sufficient. The most important areas of activity of Save the Children are: School & education, survival & health, protection against violence and exploitation, and assistance in humanitarian crises. -> Save the Children Deutschland e.V.

Pacific Garbage Screening e.V.

Huge amounts of plastic waste swim on our oceans or float in the water between the sea dwellers. In order to solve the problem of marine waste and to create healthy oceans, the Pacific Garbage Screening association takes a holistic approach. To prevent the garbage from entering the oceans in the first place, platforms collect the plastic before it reaches the sea: at the rivers. The garbage is recycled and turned into energy and other products or substances through mechanical, thermochemical and biotechnological processes. At the same time, the association wants to sensitize the population to environmental issues such as waste of resources and climate change, which is already threatening many habitats. -> Pacific Garbage Screening e.V.

Sycor wishes you a Merry Christmas!

Sycor is pleased to be able to make a small contribution again this year to support non-profit organizations in their important work with a donation. For Sycor, "We give IT a face" also means getting involved with others. In this spirit, we wish you and your relatives a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
