Last Tuesday the IT service provider Sycor based in Göttingen was awarded the "TOPAS" certificate for what is now the third time in a row. This means the company is officially a top employer in South Lower Saxony for another two years.
During the recertification process, the auditors reviewed Sycor's past performance in regards to how our employer brand is continuing to develop. “We are seen as an attractive employer in the South Lower Saxony region. This tells us that we are on the right track with our employer branding measures,” explains recruiting specialist Jennifer Emrich.
TOPAS was created in 2013 by the SüdniedersachsenStiftung and geniusgöttingen in cooperation with the Göttingen office of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Göttingen regional business development program (WRG), faktor magazine, and the organizational consultancy teneo. Behind the name TOPAS is a series of employer marketing workshops, aimed specifically at regional companies and institutions. Methods and tools for strategic employer branding are shared with the participants under the moderation of experienced coaches. Focal points include the topics of employee retention, recruitment, and employee integration.
Making the company more attractive both internally and externally, boosting the attractiveness of the region and business location, and networking with other TOP employers in the region are among the project objectives.
