In order to protect its IT in the best possible way, Süddeutsche Gelenkscheibenfabrik decided to carry out a security assessment together with Sycor.
Süddeutsche Gelenkscheibenfabrik (SGF), headquartered in Waldkraiburg in Upper Bavaria, is a recognised partner of the automotive industry and in use in industrial applications across all sectors. SGF has become the market leader in torque transmission and has over 70 years of experience in thread and binder technology.
The publicised hacker attacks in the industry and the resulting problems prompted SGF to consider a holistic security strategy. The protection of employees and company-specific data is to be given central importance.
With the Sycor Security Assessment, we accompany the customer in deriving a defined security strategy with the help of intelligent Microsoft technologies. After collecting data in the cross-site organisation and evaluating the threat report, we derive a customised security plan to holistically protect the organisation from modern attack vectors. The documentation serves as a basis for anchoring the security strategy in the management and helps to implement legal regulations and mitigate risks.
After the security assessment, the SGF project team was enabled to prioritise current threats in a target-oriented manner and to put together packages of measures for the elimination of cyber attacks. In doing so, the handling of the intelligent security products of M365 E5 underpins a fully comprehensive view of the organisation's IT landscape. In addition to the technical Microsoft foundation, a higher level of readiness was anchored in the cybersecurity culture within the company.
