INOPHA GmbH based in Brandenburg is live with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as a cloud solution. The pharmaceuticals distributor meets the requirements for reliable process support with the new ERP system. Dynamics 365 also has the necessary scalability and flexibility to handle current and future planned growth. SYCOR GmbH based in Göttingen was the chosen implementation partner.
INOPHA GmbH based in Ludwigsfelde, Brandenburg has grown quickly since it was founded in 2008. "This growth meant we had to start looking for an ERP system. We were only able to process a limited number of orders per day. That is why we wanted to speed up our processes, so that we would be able to handle all customer requests at the accustomed pace," explains Stefan Adomeit, Managing Directory of Inopha. The company specializes in the import and distribution of pharmaceutical products manufactured in the EU, in particular for the oncology, HIV, and rheumatology therapeutic indications. Known as parallel imports, these original preparations often constitute lower-cost alternatives. Aside from Inopha's service, the healthcare reforms of 2004 contributed to the success of this business model: Since then, pharmacies have been obligated to cover five percent of their sales through parallel imports.
"We systematically analyzed several ERP alternatives. In the end, we saw the greatest benefits for us with Microsoft Dynamics 365for Finance and Operations," says Steve Brunzel, IT Manager at Inopha, in retrospect. Inopha viewed the solution as a modern and easy to use system, identifying only a minor need for adaptations. "We hoped for a short implementation based on the analysis results. This hope has been realized. Sycor's employees realized the ERP implementation with us in just five months," Brunzel says with satisfaction.
Inopha went live with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (Enterprise Edition) as a cloud solution via the Azure cloud platform. As a cloud solution, Microsoft Dynamics 365 has the potential to grow with Inopha's requirements over the long term. The employees are using the ERP system for procurement, warehousing, production, sales, and financial accounting – and they are extremely satisfied with the new system. "The Sycor team and Project Manager Severin Bock supported us with a very goal-oriented implementation and problem resolution. We worked together in a pleasant project atmosphere," is how IT Manager Steve Brunzel sums up the project. "That is why we are also approaching the other points on the roadmap together," adds Stefan Adomeit, Managing Director of Inopha. They include the introduction of quality management and personnel administration as well as the use of Microsoft Power BI, Skype for Business, and Microsoft SharePoint.
