With the new release of Sycor.Rental, we are introducing two key innovations for rental businesses:
The new Mobile Field Service solution is a milestone for all companies that want to digitize and simplify their service processes. Service technicians receive all relevant information directly on their mobile device – from orders and activities to device master data and damage and service histories.
This mobile solution is ready to use out of the box, fully integrated into Sycor.Rental, and can be used offline. It replaces external solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service and offers:
Scheduling & resource planning: Graphical scheduling in the backend based on availability, qualifications, and location.

Service order management: Orders and activities are created in the ERP and transferred to the app, including intuitive filter and search functions for user-specific provision.

Device information & history: Access to device master data, damage and service history, warranties, etc. A barcode scan for quick identification on the device is also available.
Device view with equipment information
Device view with all associated service appointments
Device view with Checklists
Complete the job – record and document directly in the app: Record working hours, activities, spare parts, and consumables. Status messages such as repair start/completion, including photo capture and attachments for devices and orders. New ad hoc service/repair orders can be created by the technician directly in the app.
Checking & billing in the backend: Checking recorded materials, quantities, and times, as well as marking billable items. Recorded times and approval for invoicing to customers.
The second noteworthy innovation concerns the accounting treatment of workshop orders. From now on, costs incurred for employee services or the use of replacement and consumable materials can optionally be allocated to the fixed assets of the repaired device. This function creates the basis for a significantly more flexible and process-oriented mapping of repair and maintenance orders related to fixed assets. This allows cost types that could not previously be capitalized to be included in the balance sheet – and the effort involved is significantly reduced.
Update now and reap the benefits!
The fall release will be available from September 15.
