In addition to well-grounded training, you can look forward to project work and team events, exciting tasks and of course lots of fun. In both our IT and commercial occupations, the rapidly changing world of IT means there are always exciting new developments that ensure our tasks are varied. But never fear, we are by your side every step of the way.
In our introductory events, you will learn a lot about Sycor and obtain a good overview of the company. You will gain an understanding of our departments and receive useful information from HR and Marketing.
During a team event at the start of your training, you get to know the trainees in the other training groups so you can quickly establish new friendships. Trainee Day usually includes cool activities like raft building, zip lining, or escape rooms.
You will take part in various technical training sessions jointly with the other trainees. Here you work together and can then apply your knowledge in the various specialist departments.
In 2019 our team event for the trainees in the first and second training years was held at the Northeim am See sailing club. Our trainee Nele Mücke outlined the day for you:
Our colleague Klaus Monjau instructed us trainees in the art of sailing. After we invigorated ourselves with a balanced breakfast, most of us had our first experience on board a sailboat.
Thanks to Klaus and his team, we all had a turn steering the boat. Our team event was also accompanied by our photographer – another new experience for most of us. As a result, a lot of great pictures came out of this, as you can see on our website. However, most importantly, we all felt the sense of community, mutual trust while sailing and working together, at the end of the day.
Fun is never short-lived with us as well. After a brief scavenger hunt in which the team had to face challenges together, we enjoyed nice conversations while grilling steaks and sausages together.
The bravest of us took to the water and went for a swim, a few others played games on the dock, and the rest of the team enjoyed the final hours sailing as a group.
