The new release of SAP Hybris Commerce was put on the market this week: SAP Hybris Commerce 6.2. It features interesting innovations that further improve the user friendliness and scope of the solution. Here is an overview of the most important further developments.
The integrated SmartEdit web content management system (WCMS) has been extended and can now be used with the SAP Hybris Commerce Accelerator for B2B. Administrators now have the option of viewing and editing metadata and all navigation items directly in SmartEdit. Another new SmartEdit feature: Product and category pages can be created separately from the catalog in the new release.
With extended 360° customer view functionality, support employees can view additional information about the customer directly in the Assisted Service Module, for instance the list of prior support tickets, the list of devices the customer has used to access the page, and the customer's contact information. Another advantage: Links to all actions carried out by the customer on the page, including abandoned shopping carts. This means support employees always have all information at their fingertips to assist customers quickly and efficiently.
With the new release, orders can be canceled in whole or in part without having to call a service employee. When an order is canceled, a corresponding return label is sent to the user directly by e-mail (only in combination with the order management system OMS and without a SAP link).
With this release, there are virtually no differences anymore regarding the scope of integration between SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP. Only third-party supplier sourcing, SAP invoice display and SAP credit checks do not yet work in combination with SAP S/4HANA. All other functions that can be used with SAP ERP are now also available with SAP S/4HANA.
